Final Regular Season Week (Championship Week)

Monday, November 26, 2012

GOLDLINE AND MR. KASEY JOHNSON HIT PERFECTOS UNDER PRESSURE. THE TOP9 TEAMS STAY THE SAME.

-->

Note: A few corrections on the pick sheet – Goldline had Oregon -9.5. (He put +9.5), Coach forgot to mark his Power Week (it was) and COL Touch Down marked his Dog game as Power game (corrected).

With one week to go the stage is set for a remarkable finish. In Week13 the Top3 stayed the same, but it was Get Drew Bledsoe in the HOF’s 31 that helped him jump Beast Infection for the #2 spot. #4 Stumblin’ Drunks, #5 Nittany Lyin and #6 Coach are also within striking distance of the CFGL9 title. The only change in the Top10 is Deeds' departure and RollTideYall moving into the #10 spot.

CARROLL’S CREDIT UNION
Get Drew Bledsoe in the HOF reached his highest ranked position all year at #2 but decided to take Northwestern AND Illinois in the same game to miss a Perfecto. The Locksmith and Beast Infection thank you. Speaking of Perfectos, Goldline.com finally got one and jumped from #25 to #11 and has a real shot moving up into the Top10. #15 COL Touch Down and #19 Mamacita are in the money, but need strong weeks to hold their positions.

JERRY’S KIDS
Jerry’s Kids is all but decided as Stumblin’ Druinks stayed hot and stayed at #4 overall. Phuckfantasy stayed at #14 and is only 30 points away from doubling his money in the Top10. #25 Hack Attack still has a shot of getting in the green but beyond that, it may take some parlay action to get into the loot. Curious to see how many will quit during Championship Week.

PETRINO’S HOG RIDERS
Coach uses his Power Week to extend his lead over the much-maligned Hog Riders Conference. The big week takes Coach to #6 and he increases his lead to 90.5 points over #27 La Maquina. #33 Hollywood Hussion has an outside chance of the green as he sits about 35 back of the Top20.

PLANET WEIS
The Planet still belongs to #3 Beast Infection but#9 Ripper Ripski closed the gap to only 47.5 points after a huge 38 point week. SCAGA also showed some heart and jumped from #22 into the money at #18. #Coney2012 put a moneyline 5stack on his alma mater Michigan but came up short and he fell to #35. He’ll have to get creative to get back in the money.

SHAPIRO’S ALL STARS
It ain’t pretty, but #13 Deeds is still hanging onto the conference lead by only 5.5 points. He’ll have to earn it during Championship Week though as #16 welchtwins, #20 P-Horse, #22 #want and #26 TP3 all have legitimate shots at the All Stars title. IBlink and Barndawg posted donuts and that may be all she wrote for them.

THE WUERFFEL
Things are heating up in the Wuerffel as Nittany Lyin scored a clutch 31 and took back the lead from Raider Power. But both better be at the top of their game during Championship Week as #8 Schematic Advantage and #12 KC Mizzou Mafia are well within reach of the conference title, too. #23 UrbanCrierUrbanLiar, #24 Principessa Wiggles, #29 SOFFOCONE and #30 Mr. Kasey Johnson have a shot at the Top20. Congrats to Mr. Kasey Johnson for his second Perfecto of the year. How ‘bout one more, big guy?

URBAN’S HEART DIVISION
The Locksmith maintained control of the conference and League but it was Turd Ferguson that had the biggest week of all. His clutch 84 points took him from #39 to #17 while RollTideYall moved up two spots to #10 with his huge 44.  Further down, #21 Sic ‘Em Dawgs sits on the edge of the money by 4.5 points and Wilson hit a 4-team parlay to move him from #50 to #32. Is there enough magic for one last push?

RAIDER POWER SHATTERS CFGL RECORD WITH 143.5 POINTS

 THE WUERFFEL
Raider Power absolutely exploded and his all-time CFGL high 143.5 points shoots him from #41 to #5. Behind him, #6 Nittany Lyin, #7 Schematic Advantage and #11 KC Mizzou Mafia round out the most competitive conference in the League.

CARROL’S CREDIT UNION
Get Drew Bledsoe in the HOF put himself well ahead of the others by flexing a 64.5 on the week. The big time week moves him from #5 to  #3 and puts 69.5 points between #13 Mamacita. #16 Michigan Hates U and #17 COL Touch Down are in the money while #23 Goldline.com and #25 Carolina Fire Ants are still in the hunt.

JERRY’S KIDS
#4 Stumblin’ Drunks remains on top of Jerry’s Kids by 69. And while there’s certainly a better way to say that, the better score in Week12 went to Phuckfantasy who put it all on Stanford and moved up from #39 to #14.

PETRINO’S HOG RIDERS
#8 Coach put together a quality 23.5 and extends his lead over #22 La Maquina and #29 Hollywood Hussion. Holy Trinity rose from the dead and hit a 4$tack on Ohio St. to move them to #38. The Trio is 40 points shy of the money with two weeks left.

PLANET WEIS
For the second straight week, #Coney2012 walked away with the bonus, but this time he only moves up one spot to #28. He sits only 14 points back of the cheese. Beast Infection maintains control of the Planet by 64.5 and sits at #2 overall. Ripper Ripski had a tough week and his 7 moves him down to #9.

SHAPIRO ALL-STARS
#10 Deeds continues to control the conference over #15 welchtwins and #19 P-Horse but it was #want that came up with the Perfecto and the bonus. The big week moves him to #20. #27 TP3, #33 iBlink and #34 still sit on the cusp of the cash.

URBAN’S HEART DIVISION
The Locksmith finds himself back up on top of the League after his 68 pointer. The big week extends his conference lead to 119 points over #12 RollTideYall. #21 Sic Em Dawgs, #30 First Lady, #35 Meatball, and #39 Turd Furgeson haven’t been pronounced dead just yet.

STUMBLIN’ DRUNKS PROVES FUNCTIONAL IN WEEK11 AS CINDERELLA STORY FINALLY GETS TO WEAR HIS GOWN

Shit is getting real in the League. Straight up. The average in Week11 was 21.5 points as 26 hit Sun Belt games and 32 won their Power games. The League is tightening up as only 19 points separate #1 from #3, only 20 points separate #3 from #10 and only 30 points separate #10 from #20.

A quick scoring clarification. A tie is worth 3 points, not 2 points as Deeds indicated on Saturday. But let’s not bust his balls too much for this one, we all make mistakes. Ain’t that right, #60 Holy Trinity?

Here’s the conference shakedown.

Jerry’s Kids may have finally found a leader for the long run as Stumblin’ Drunks hit a Perfecto and jumped into the Top3. He leads Hack Attack who limped in with a 7. And instead of taking advantage of his unprecedented week last week, Head Honcho rolls the dice again on a 3-team parlay and falls back down into irrelevancy at #32. Want this as much as we want you to have this, Head. Big2 and Double Bird Strike both get off with huge weeks, but will they be able to get a slice of the League cheese? Also, Big 2 initially indicated a Power Week but he didn’t do it right so he still has it. I’ll follow up with specifics, Big2.

Beast Infection is back in the League saddle as he Powered up for 50, thanks to a 4stack on the Bama under and a pick in the end zone to seal the upset. Beast leads the League by 7.5 and leads the Planet by 58. Ripper Ripski stayed put at #4 but he’s losing ground on the Top3 that has distanced themselves from the rest. O-H-I-O stayed hot and won the Planet bonus and jumped from #48 to #26. He’s back in the mix and is in striking distance of the money along with #21 SCAGA and #29 #Coney2012.

Things are getting interesting in Pete Carroll’s Credit Union as the top four teams in the conference are in the Top20. Get Drew Bledsoe in the HOF stayed in the lead with his 33, but Mamacita wrestled the bonus away from him as she breached the Top10 at #9. Michigan Hates U, COL Touch Down, Carolina Fire Ants and Goldline.com weren’t very clutch in Week11 and failed to score over 20 pts. Also, Beaver Believer probably sealed his fate with a Power5stack$line on the Beavers.

Cinderella Story’s dreams finally came true as he hit a 4team Parlay Perfecto and scored a Week11 high 103 points. He jumped 33 spots up to #33 and is very much in the hunt for the Top20 - and possibly the Hog Riders title if he gets some help. But it’ll be tough as Coach added to his conference lead with a Perfecto. He moved into the Top10 at #7.  #18 La Maquina and #24 Hollywood Hussion are still alive as well as they both pulled 31’s this week. #70 Air Raid inched closer to triple digits as his Week11 seven gives him an 88.5.

Shapiro All-Stars underwent a major overhaul as Deeds got loose with a Power Week 50 and rights to the conference bonus. He jumped into first in the conference and #11 overall as #15 welchtwins #16 Phorse grind it out 20 points back. Barndawg dropped to #23 after staying aggressive and losing a 4team parlay. Will he limp into the money or go out with a mouthful of flacid crotch?  It’s an important question to ask.

After walking away with only two Sun Belt wins on a Thursday Night stack-a-thon, Schematic Advantage was still able to take the Wuerffel thanks to Nittany Lyin’s shitty little 7. Overall, Advantage dropped to #6 and Lyin’ went to #8. We heard from KC Mizzou Mafia again, which was nice.  However, his monster 40.5-pointer gained him no ground as he stays at #10. Nxt_Lvl had a career week and scored a total 55.5 and moved up to #65.

In Urban’s Heart Division, Meatball came to play and scored a 36 that was good enough for the bonus. The big week puts him at #31 and in position to crack the Top20 in Week12. RollTydeYall rolled the wrong way after his Power5stack on Tennessee didn’t pan out. The loss created even more distance between him and the Locksmith, who dropped to #2. #14 Sic Em Dawgs and #27 First Lady remain contenders while #42 Wilson is still on the fence after his modest 10.

IT DOESN’T GET MUCH BETTER THAN HEAD AS THE HONCHO PUTS UP 125.5.

This week was highly unusual as the CFGL caught absolute fire during moving week and averaged over 28 poins a pop. 50 members won power games. 5 hit parlays. 4 hit Perfectos. 2 hit Power 5stacks. However, most of the damage was done by the 99% as the Top10 remained virtually untouched, other than the Barndawg’s departure.  Let’s get straight to the big story.

JERRY’S KIDS
In a move that surely shocked everyone, consummate League doormat Head Honcho hit a 5team parlay Perfecto and exploded up the standings with his 125.5 point week. The season-high score moves Head up forty spots to #25 overall and third in Jerry’s Kids. And while Honcho’s big week was surely an anomaly, #6 Stumblin’ Drunks and #8 Hack Attack can’t feel good about another contender in the mix. Fortunately for them, Bull Rob continues to nosedive as he’s had four straight weeks with 17 or less.

PETE CARROL’S CREDIT UNION
This weekend Pete’s Credit Union was very explosive and averaged over 32 points a team. Sixty-eight of those bad boys come from Mamacita, who keeps the Johnson family performance strong with a gorgeous Perfecto. She jumps from #30 to #13 as Get Drew Bledsoe in HOF increased his Union lead over Michigan Hates to 28 points. COL TouchDown moves up one spot to #15 while once hot Beaver Believer drops six spots to #35. Paging Fat Lady.

PETRINO’S HOG RIDERS
It’s not often that you see scores in the 30’s in the Petrino’s Hog Riders Conference, but Week10 was the exception as La Maquina Power 5stack moneylined Washington on Friday night, earning him a total of 80 points and the bonus. The huge win jumped Maquina over #27 Hollywood Hussion and into second the conference. But the HHRIC is still Coach who won four of his games and leads the conference by 18.5. Also, after winning the conference last week, Mr. Lou stayed hot with a Power 5stack and moves up to #45 with his 50 pointer. At the bottom of the Hog Riders wreckage is #70 Air Raid who is now averaging less than a Power Game a week.

PLANET WEIS
On Planet Weis, it was all about #Coney2012 who flexed all 12 inches of his all-beef ween en route to a bonus winning 44. The girthy week continues to move Coney up the standings as he now sits at #40. However, Beast Infection continued his impressive year as well and scored a 31, increasing  his lead over #4 Ripper Ripski, who only managed a 17. SCAGA is still in the long and thick of things at #24, but he trails the Beast by 91.5 so that kinda sucks.

SHAPIRO ALL-STARS
Things got interesting amongst the Shapiro All-Stars as former-champ Barndawg only managed 7 points after ND and Pitt went into 3OTs and killed his under and 3team parlay. Go Irish. The rough week left the dawghouse door open for welchtwins who took the lead by only one point. It was iblink that won the bonus with a 2team parlay Perfecto good for 95.5. The humungous week puts iblink back in the running as he jumped from #56 to #21. Hell of a week, guy. Hell of a week.

WUERFFEL
In the Wuerffel it was Kosher Jews that came away with the bonus after a 3team parlay helped spur a 61-point week. Nittany Lyin was able to stay put at #3 after his 17-pointer but his conference lead dwindled down to only 6.5 points after #5 Schematic Advantage scored 31.  Principessa Wiggles moved up three spots to #17 after a 31 of her own.

URBAN’S HEART DIVISION
In Urban’s Heart Division, it was all about Aunt Betty’s Fried Chicken who helped himself to a 61.5 with the help of three dog game winners. The monster week boosts him up from #69 to #65, which has got to be a real kick in the junk. Turd Ferguson also represented for the 99% and scored a 48.5 but opted to 2stack Nebraska, making him ineligible for a Perfecto. Nonetheless, he shoots up to #52 and now has four weeks to make it into the money. The top of the conference remained the same with strong weeks from #1 Locksmith, #9 RollTideYall, #20 Sic ‘Em Dawgs and #30 First Lady.

WEEK10 PICK SHEET (SEC)
